Jewell’s ministry gifts manifested themselves when she began to teach Sunday school, and eventually became the YPHA (Young People’s Holy Association) President ministering to the young people of Ebenezer Temple along side her husband, then Youth Pastor T. Anthony Thompson. Jewell also served as the Comptroller and provided financial reports for the ministry at Ebenezer Temple and continues in that capacity with LFCC. Prior to moving to Maryland, Jewell served as the Chairlady of the Mildred N. Spencer Scholarship Fund for four years (then called the Ebenezer Temple Scholarship Fund).
In addition to her many ministry gifts Jewell Spencer Thompson believes in sharing her talents with her community.
